The village of Aït-Benhaddou, which provides a stunning display of rocky strata, lies about 30 km before Ouarzazate on a 10 km long minor road. It was listed in 1987 as the United Nations World Heritage Center (UNESCO) and is one of the most preserved Ksars of South Morocco.
It is rather curious to observe the population who is living there without tap water or electricity yet whose happiness is not absent! A beautiful meditation for westerners.
